I think  MOOCs is very helpful for people who can't study abroad but want to experience foreign teaching mode.

Although  I feel this website is not attractive to me, because when I click to the course, there are too much text in the website interface,and it is hard to operate to me. This website has a lot of courses about business and management, I believe I am still willing to try it, if I am more familiar with this website.

I think it's a good idea to use comics to learn the language, because the dialogue of the comic books is our life conversation, and the words are easy to understand for me. And If I have a word that I don't understand, I can also look at the picture to guess, after I see the full content, I can go to check it.

Description:
There was a jackal, Chandrao. In order to avoid the chasing of the dogs, he jumped into the blue dye that lead to he was all blue. All the animals were confuse to see such a bizarre animal. Suddenly, there was a clever idea struck him, he told all the animals "Lord brahma has made me the king of all three worlds - heaven, earth and hell, so I will be your king", everyone believed and obeyed him. But one day, Chandrao heard the familiar "Awoo!Awoo!"cry of his fellow jackals, he instinctively craned his neck high in the air and let out a loud "Awoo!Awoo!". When everyone heard this, they soon figured out what was going on, so they wanted to catch Chandrao.

I think this song is a good choice for us to train practice listening for first time, because the melody of this song is very brisk, the words are familiar than we learned before, and the lyrics are always repeated that it can help us to know the song easily.

I really like the meaning of the song,  because no matter what we do, it will be like the lyrics "It's always a good time".

EX: Some of the younger pop bands try to imitate their musical heroes from the past.



4. Dawn on sb - If a fact dawns on you, you understand it after a period of not understanding it.

5. Statistics - a collection of numerical facts or measurements, as about people, business conditions, or weather.



EX: The statistics show that, in general, women live longer than men.

The second language is important to us. Whether it is to study abroad or work in the future is an indispensable ability, and how should we train and improve our language ability? Through this TED talk I know more about our second language learning. First we need to find some enjoyment, so that we can have the perseverance to support us to learn.The second is find effective methods which you can use systematically over the period of some time in the way which you enjoy. Third is create a system in our learning. The last one is patience. Through these points I can know which one I need to get and how to enhance my English, so listen TED talk we not only can get some knowledge, but also can kill time.

rumor- an unofficial, interesting story or piece of news that might be true or invented, and that is communicated quickly from person to person

Ex: Rumors about her are circulating at school.

arguably- used when stating an opinion or belief that you think can be shown to be true

Ex: He is arguably the world's best football player.

augment- to increase the size or value of something by adding something to it

Ex: He would have to find work to augment his income.

phenomenal- extremely successful or special, especially in a surprising way

Ex: Her rise to fame was quite phenomenal - in less than two years she was a household name. 

penchant- a liking for, an enjoyment of, or a habit of doing something, especially something that other people might not like

Ex: Her penchant for days at a time worries her family.

phablet-a large smartphone that can be used like a tablet computer

Ex: Phablet is a portmanteau of the words phone and tablet.
