MOOCs

Just Money: Banking as if Society Mattered

Institution: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Level: Introductory
Language: English

I think  MOOCs is very helpful for people who can't study abroad but want to experience foreign teaching mode.
Although  I feel this website is not attractive to me, because when I click to the course, there are too much text in the website interface, and it is hard to operate to me. This website has a lot of courses about business and management, I believe I am still willing to try it, if I am more familiar with this website.

Pepper & Carrot

Episode:1  The potion to flight

Description:
When Pepper modulated magic the potion of flight, Carrot jumped into the tub curiously that causing his body full of potion, so he can fly in the sky.

Experience in using a comic website:
I think it's a good idea to use comics to learn the language, because the dialogue of the comic books is our life conversation, and the words are easy to understand for me. And If I have a word that I don't understand, I can also look at the picture to guess, after I see the full content, I can go to check it.

Good Time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7HmzwI67ec

singer: Owl City (USA) & Carly Rae Jepsen (Canada)

Lyrics:
(Hum um um)
Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time

Woke up on the right side of the bed
What's up with this prince song inside my head?
Hands up if you're down to get down tonight
Cause it's always a good time

Slept in all my clothes like I didn't care
Hopped into a cab, take me anywhere
I'm in if you're down to get down tonight
Cause it's always a good time
Good morning and good night
I'll wake up at twilight
It's gonna be alright
We don't even have to try
It's always a good time

Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh- oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh -oh
We don't even have to try , it's always a good time.

Freaked out , dropped my phone in the pool again
Checked out of my room, hit the ATM
Let's hang out if you're down to get down tonight
'Cause it's always a good time

Good morning and good night
I'll wake up at twilight
It's gonna be alright
We don't even have to try

Video review:
I think this song is a good choice for us to train practice listening for first time, because the melody of this song is very brisk, the words are familiar than we learned before, and the lyrics are always repeated that it can help us to know the song easily.
I really like the meaning of the song,  because no matter what we do, it will be like the lyrics "It's always a good time".

The second language is important to us. Whether it is to study abroad or work in the future is an indispensable ability, and how should we train and improve our language ability? Through this TED talk I know more about our second language learning. First we need to find some enjoyment, so that we can have the perseverance to support us to learn. The second is find effective methods which you can use systematically over the period of some time in the way which you enjoy. Third is create a system in our learning. The last one is patience. Through these points I can know which one I need to get and how to enhance my English, so listen TED talk we not only can get some knowledge, but also can kill time.
